New Camera Technology in Kashmora

For the first time in Indian film industry, a 360-degree omnidirectional camera rig was used to shoot a particular sequence in Kashmora. The movie stars Karthi, Nayantara and Sri Divya in lead roles.

Sharing the experience of using the technology, director Gokul says, “This is the first time we are using this technology. It is a multiple camera rig with a 360-degree field of view in the horizontal plane, or with a visual field that covers (approximately) the entire sphere. Omnidirectional cameras are important in areas where large visual field coverage is needed, such as in panoramic photography.”

Kashmora is directed by Gokul of Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara and is produced by S R Prakash and S R Prabhu under the banner of Dream Warrior Pictures. Om Prakash is handling cinematography and Santosh Narayanan, the music. The multi-genre film, that has a mix of action and comedy, promises to offer some some surprise elements in the screenplay as well.
