It looks like filmmaker Rohit Shetty of Chennai Express (2013) fame has officially postponed the release of Golmaal 4 to avoid clashing with the Superstar-starrer 2.o.
Rohit took the decision because he’s an ardent fan of Rajinikanth. Lyca’s creative head Raju Mahalingam tweeted, “Rohitji, thanks for the magnanimous support given for 2.0.
You are indeed a great fan of our Superstar.” Directed by Shankar, sources said the shooting is on at full swing in MGR Film City. “Shankar is planning to wrap up the film before January 2017 to ensure Diwali release. Almost 75% of the film is over,” sources added.
City Express also has an additional information that the crew is planning to recreate Ukraine in VFX for a melodious number. We hear, initially the team had plans to shoot in Ukraine itself, but considering Rajiniknath’s health conditions, they decided to shoot the song here in India, with a changed backdrop. Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, AR Rahman is scoring the music for 2.o and Nirav Shah is cranking the camera. 2.o has Amy Jackson, Akshay Kumar, Adil Hussain, Sudhanshu Pandey, among others in important roles.
