Dalip Tahil joins A R Murugadoss-Rajinikanth’s Darbar

Veteran actor Dalip Tahil has joined the cast of AR Murugadoss’s upcoming film Darbar. The Mumbai-set film stars Rajinikanth in the role of a cop after 25 years.

Veteran actor Dalip Tahil has joined the cast of AR Murugadoss’s upcoming film Darbar. The Mumbai-set film stars Rajinikanth in the role of a cop after 25 years. Tahil plays the part of a senior officer who aides Rajini’s character in wiping out a gang of goons from Mumbai.

The two actors had last shared screen space in the 1995 crime film, Aatank Hi Aatank. 

Several Bollywood actors have joined the cast of Darbar, including Pradeep Kabra, Prateik Babbar and Jatin Sarna. Nayanthara has been cast as the female lead. She has previously worked with Rajini in Chandramukhi and Kuselan. Apart from them, Nivetha Thomas and Yogi Babu are also a part of the film. 
Produced by Lyca Productions, Darbar is scheduled to release on January 9, 2020. Rajinikanth was last seen in Petta, directed by Karthik Subbaraj. AR Murguadoss’s last directorial venture was Sarkar, starring Vijay.
