DSP Faces Flak for Sexist Comments

Popular music composer Devi Sri Prasad courted controversy with his sexist remarks directed at actress Shruti Haasan at the audio launch of Srimanthudu recently.

“Hey Shruti, I like your dress more from the back,” he told Haasan, who was wearing a backless outfit. While it was a cheeky comment made in a bizarre attempt to incite humour, not many saw the funny side of it. Denizens slammed the composer for being outright sexist.

Though Shruti took his sexist comment in her stride, many of her fans were not pleased by Prasad’s behaviour and slammed him for his “disgusting” comments.

Twitterati were equally unimpressed and tore into the composer’s sexist comments.

Popularly known as DSP, he has composed music for films like Gabbar Singh, Attarintiki Daredi, Legend and Son of Sathyamurthy, among others.

Mahesh Babu -starrer  Srimanthudu will screens on August 7.
