Nagarjuna plays a mentalist in RGG 2

Nagarjuna, who played baba Hathiram, an ardent devotee of Lord Balaji in last week’s release Om Namo Venkatesaya, will be seen essaying a mentalist in the sequel to Raju Gari Gadhi, which also stars his future daughter-in-law Samantha Ruth Prabhu. What’s interesting is that he will be seen in a very stylish avatar and his role will be a treat for his fans. “His character comes as an important addition to the franchise. It will add a lot of value and weightage to the film.

He plays a mentalist and director Ohmkar has designed his role in such a way that audiences will enjoy seeing him in a completely new avatar,” a source informs Hyderabad Express. Elaborating more on Nagarjuna’s character, the source said, “You will see him riding a fancy bike in the film. Also, he’s not paired with Samantha contrary to rumours. Samantha has a very important role and her character will move audiences to tears. It might easily be her best role yet. Both of them will join the sets from March.” Asked if Samantha plays the ghost, the source said: “It’s tough to say. It’s a very interesting character and something she hasn’t attempted so far.” Also starring Seerat Kapoor, Vennela Kishore and Shakalaka Shankar, the film is being bankrolled by PVP Cinema. Unlike Raja Gari Gadhi, the sequel will be more emotional and will strike all the right chords despite largely being a horror flick. The film has music by Thaman.
