Dil Raju is living a dream by producing back-to-back hits in Tollywood. The producer, who spearheads the production house Sri Venkateswara Creations, has been on a roll with hattrick hits  — Nenu Local, Shatamanam Bhavati and Duvvada Jagannadham aka DJ.

Up next is Varun Tej-starrer Fidaa directed by Sekhar Kammula and this romedy happens to be the 26th film in his career. Looking back at his journey in showbiz with a lot of pride, Dil Raju says,”I have started my career as a distributor and eventually turned producer with Dil. Out of the 26 films I produced, 18 were big hits and I see it as a great achievement. There is no success mantra behind my journey and I believe, our efforts and perseverance has paid off.”

Dil Raju asserts that a film works only after its producer is satisfied with the script. “I will always spend ample time with my director making improvisations on the script. Once it’s locked, that’s final and I usually don’t like to make on location changes,” says Dil Raju.

The National Award winning producer says that he likes to involve in the pre-production stage but doesn’t interfere into the direction department. “I give complete creative freedom to my directors and I pitch in only if my inputs are required. I suggest changes but never curtail the freedom of a director,” he shrugs off.

Dil Raju’s last outing DJ stirred up a row among mega fans. The film’s collections are being questioned considering it opened to mixed reviews.

The producer rues that it was due to the actions of some people that their credibility is under question.

“I not only make films but also distribute and exhibit them. I’m now releasing the upcoming projects of Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu and Jr NTR. Nobody likes to lose their credibility. I don’t endorse anyone for announcing fake collections so if someone is doing that, it’s their choice. We will call a film successful only if we get good revenues. Some people are taking undue advantage and spreading hatred on social media about films and box office collections. They are targeting the celebrities too. Our heroes should come together to put an end to this bad culture,” concludes Dil Raju.
