The young Tollywood sensation Vijay Deverakonda and producer Yash Rangineni, known for their work in National Film Award winning movie Pelli Choopulu spoke to City Express about upcoming projects, Tollywood and their journey.
Untitled as yet, the poster of their new movie is releasing today on the occasion of the actor’s birthday. The tagline of the poster says ‘Fight for what you love.’ “The tagline speaks a lot about movie, but it is not only about fighting for your partner or betterhalf. What we are trying to say is fight for whatever you want, take a stand for yourself,” says Vijay.
Not revealing the plot, the actor says the keywords to the movie are ‘love’ and ‘fight.’ From romance to action, the movie will be a mixture of all the elements and audience can expect a lot of entertainment coming up, adds Yash.
Speaking about the cast, the producer says, “The cast has not been finalised yet. We are looking for a new face alongside Vijay. The character of the girl needs a sporty personality somewhat like Fatima Sana Shaikh who played the lead in Dangal (Bollywood Movie). Nothing about it has been decided yet and we haven’t spoke to her (Fatima) about it.”
Being into film industry was always on cards for Yash, and the Vijay made his uncle’s dream come true. “Working with Vijay is so much fun. He makes it easy for me to work on sets and reduces the work stress. The most important thing is that we share an easy rapport with each other,” adds Yash, who also works as a director at National Health Services, London. The movie is expected to hit the screens next year.
After the blockbuster and National Film Award winning movie Pelli Choopulu, what do they expect from the audience? “Well it has been a great journey and I appreciate the love the audience has given to me. I expect the same support for this movie too,” concludes the proud actor.
