Rs 2 lakh stolen from Chiranjeevi's Hyderabad residence; maid taken into custody

Megastar Chiranjeevi's maid Chinnayya who was seen as a strong suspect in the crime has been taken into custody.

A sum of around Rs 2 lakh has been stolen from Chiranjeevi's Jubilee Hills residence in Hyderabad.  

According to TV reports close to Rs 2 lakh was stolen from 'Megastar' house. With respect to the complaint filed by the actor's assistant, a case has been registered and the police are investigating the case. Chiranjeevi's maid Chinnayya who was seen as a major suspect has been taken into custody.

Chiranjeevi is currently busy with his 151st film, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, to be produced by his son, Ram Charan Teja and directed by Surendra Reddy of Dhruva fame.

This period film is based on the life of a freedom fighter, Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy.The film has a stellar star cast that includes Amitabh Bachchan, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Jagapathy Babu and Sudeep.
