The extended summer break that school students have been enjoying due to the blistering sun is finally coming to an end, with the schools across Tamil Nadu reopening Wednesday (7th June 2017).

This year, summer vacation for school children commenced on April 22, a week earlier than the usual due to extreme weather conditions. (EPS|Ashwin Prasath)
Though schools were to reopen by June 1, School Education Minister KA Sengottaiyan announced its postponement to June 7. (EPS|Ashwin Prasath)
