Indian players who failed to make the cut in ICC Champions Trophy 2017 squad

India is all geared up to defend its championship title in the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2017 at England and Wales next month. Although the selectors decided to send a tried and tested all-round 15-member squad, there were few names who didn't make it to the team, despite having strong performances in the recently concluded IPL.

Rishabh Pant: The 20-year-old wicket keeper batsman from Delhi, who quickly came into headlines after a superb Under 19 World Cup at Bangladesh last year, earned his India debut against England earlier this year in Bengaluru. Pant, who scored 366 runs in 14 matches for Delhi Daredevils this season, with an impressive strike rate of 165.61,  was touted for the opening batsman slot in the Champions Trophy squad.
