LeapPad2 is a sturdy well-designed tablet for the kids. With its ergonomic design, it is easy for the little ones to handle.

The tablet comes with five in-built kids apps like Pet Pad, Learning Songs, Art Studio, Cartoon Director and one free app from the app store; it also comes with an internal storage of 4GB.

The app store covers over 2,500 skills—from reading and music to mathematics and health—that kids can pick up.

With easily removable protective bumpers that keep it safe from kid’s bumps and knocks, and an easy to use 7-inch capacitative touch screen with large icons and a touch pen, the App Star is an Android tablet aimed at kids of all sizes.

The tablet lets you operate it in one of two modes. In the ‘parent’ mode, you have access to the hundreds of kids apps along with the 250 that come free with the device .

In the ‘App Star’ mode, the kid’s mode, you can control with a password which apps will be displayed, for how long can the kid play and can even allow safely browsing the Internet.

Fuhu Nabi 2 (Approx. Rs 12,000)

The Nabi 2, from Fuhu, is a very good Android tablet with a 7-inch multi-touch capacitive touch screen supported by 1GB of RAM and an NVIDIA Tegra 3 mobile processor.

Running Android 4.0, the tablet has 8GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. Your kids can also make video calls using the 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

The best feature of Nabi 2 is the Wings app that gives parents instant feedback about their kid’s proficiency levels, the recommended areas of improvement and the amount of time they are spending with the tablet.

The tablet also comes with some great handpicked apps and wonderful accessories.
