With encephalitis claiming six more lives, the death tolldue to the disease in eastern Uttar Pradesh has mounted to 322 this year.
Six persons died due to the disease yesterday, healthofficials said today.
Additional Director (Health) Diwakar Prasad said 44 peoplesuffering from encephalitis have been admitted to BRD MCH and other governmenthospitals.
He said 354 people suffering from the disease are undergoingtreatment in various government hospitals including BRD-MCH.
