Former Congress Leader Thrashed to Death by Sodomy Victim

INDORE: A former local Congress leader whose dead body was found on December 5 here, was beaten to death by a youth and his friend after he allegedly tried to sodomise the youth for a second time, police sources said here today.

Sanwar police station in-charge Umrao Singh said here today that the accused Dharmendra Bagri (20) and Murli Bagri has been arrested for killing Congress leader Shivnarayan Yadav (40).

He said that Yadav allegedly sodomised Dharmendra 12 days ago. In an inebriated condition Yadav tried to sodomise Dharmendra again on December 4. This time around, Dharmendra and his friend Murli thrashed Yadav to death.

Based on a tip off, Yadav's body was recovered under the Sanwar police station area on December 5.

Singh said that Yadav was not active in politics for a while, adding he used to be a member of the district level youth wing of the Congress in 2005-06.
