NEW DELHI: Diplomat Devyani Khobragade was today stripped off her duties in the MEA by the government.
The action came after she spoke to a media house without seeking permission.
Khobragade was serving as the director in the Development Partnership Division. 'She has been placed on 'compulsory wait'.
Khobragade is facing vigilance enquiry after it came to light that her children have US passports.
Khobragade is a 1999 IFS officer. She had come under the scanner after her domestic help accused her of ill-treatment. Khobragade was arrested and then strip searched in New York in December last year.
