MUMBAI: Industrialist Ness Wadia on Wednesday submitted names of nine witnesses before police in connection with a case filed against him by Bollywood actor Preity Zinta for allegedly outraging her modesty.
The witnesses were present at the Garware Pavilion of Wankhede Stadium on May 30, when he allegedly abused Zinta and grabbed her hand. They are expected to depose in his favour.
Meanwhile, in yet another Facebook post Zinta has made it clear that her complaint against Ness was neither a result of personal or financial tiff, nor a publicity stunt. She also denied allegations by Ness that his mother had to stand for more than 20 minutes, as all seats were occupied by Zinta and her friends.
“There were 50 seats and a 35-seater VIP air conditioned box. I just had six seats for myself and my friends. I always shared my seats with the player’s families and the accusation that all seats were occupied by me at all games is false. Disrespecting anyone’s mother is out of the question. I might forget my name, but never my manners,” she said.
