ODISHA: Two women were killed and nine others injured when the auto-rickshaw in which they were travelling overturned at a village in Odisha's Kandhamal district, police said today.
The victims from Sasimaha were on their way to Baligeda in Sarangarh area to attend a marriage function yesterday when the overcrowded three-wheeler overturned while negotiating a sharp turn, they said.
While two women died on the spot, the injured were admitted to the district headquarter hospital here where the condition of three of them was said to be critical.
