CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Wednesday said he has requested Power Minister Ajay Yadav to reconsider his decision on resigning. He added that he was yet to receive Yadav’s reply.

Hooda hinted that he may fight the Assembly elections from Indri constituency. When his attention was drawn to Haryana Congress leader Birender Singh’s meeting with BJP president Amit Shah and rumours of Birender planning to join the BJP, Hooda said he was unaware of any such development.

On factionalism in his party, Hooda said no one was “annoyed” because of him. Hooda made it clear that there was no “upheaval” in the Congress. “The Congress is very strong and let’s see who defects,” he said, when asked to comment on allegations of discrimination withing the party.
