RSS Is Anti-women: Congress

Congress today accused the RSS of being "anti-women" and said that BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi should make clear the saffron group's stand on the issue.

Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Arvinder Singh made the remarks while addressing a gathering at the third 'Pol Khol Abhiyaan', launched against Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

"The Sangh (RSS) is anti-women, and that is the reason there is not a single woman office-bearer in the RSS," Singh said, adding that "Sangh's mask Narendra Modi should clear RSS' stand on women".

The DPCC leaders also said that "people of Delhi were fed up with the lies of BJP and AAP and they were now waiting to teach a bitter lesson to these parties".

"During the Delhi Assembly elections, AAP and BJP had promised to give 50 and 30 per cent concession in the power tariff rates by making false promises to gather votes," they said.

Apart from Singh, several other Congress leaders including MP Ramesh Kumar, Haroon Yusuf, DPCC chief spokesperson and ex-MLA Mukesh Sharma were present at the programme organised at Badarpur in the South Delhi Parliamentary constituency.
