The ongoing tussle between BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and senior party leader Murali Manohar Joshi to contest from the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat has caused a major worry for the RSS leadership too.
“We are worried and also not worried...We feel they (BJP) are experienced enough as we have seen on earlier occasions. They are capable. They will solve the problem,” RSS general secretary Suresh Bhaiyaji Joshi told reporters in Bangalore.
Meanwhile, BJP veteran Joshi on Sunday sent out a subtle message to the party leadership, saying it should keep in mind the winnability aspect besides the “prestige” of the prime ministerial candidate while taking a decision.
