Spanish Envoy Calls on Kashmir Governor, Chief Minister

Spain's Ambassador to India, Gustavo de Aristegui, called on Jammu and Kashmir Governor N.N.Vohra and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah here Thursday, an official statement said.

The statement issued here said Ambassador de Aristegui called on Vohra at the Raj Bhavan.

"The governor and the ambassador discussed various matters related to furthering the ties and establishing wide ranging understandings between the two countries.

"They also discussed various possibilities of investors from Spain assisting the establishment of business and commercial ventures for the rapid economic growth of Jammu and Kashmir particularly in the areas in which both sides are keen to collaborate.

"The Spanish ambassador also called on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in the afternoon to discuss matters of mutual interest," it added.
