Army jawan killed in firing along LoC in Rajouri

During patrolling, troops found suspected movement along LoC in Subderbani sector in the district, a senior army officer said.

JAMMU: An Army jawan was killed in firing from across the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir tonight.

During patrolling, troops found suspected movement along LoC in Subderbani sector in the district, a senior army officer said.

There was firing on the troops in which Jawan Rajinder Singh received four bullets and was martyred, he said, adding, the troops retaliated.

"We cannot say whether it were militants or Pak troops involved in the firing. Further details are awaited," he said.
