VARANASI: With the death of another person, toll in the illegal cracker factory explosion case here increased to six, police said today.
    
Shabnam, who was injured in the incident and undergoing treatment at BHU's Trauma Centre, succumbed to her wounds last evening, they said.
    
Six persons were killed and three others were injured in an explosion in a two-storey building in Pitarkunda locality here on October 25.
    
The explosion took place in the building where firecrackers were being produced illegally.
    
Meanwhile,taking a serious note of the incident, Senior Superintendent of Police Nitin Tiwari today suspended three police personnel.
    
Paandariba police outpost in-charge Sub-inspector Santosh Kumar Dubey and constables Dhananjay Singh and Shiv Kumar were suspended by the SSP.
    
At the time of explosion around nine persons were inside the house. Six of them have died and three others were critically injured.
    
Police suspect that the incident occurred as some explosives must have caught fire. The roof of the house had also collapsed after the explosion.
