Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the media ahead of the winter session of the Parliament. He called for the unity of all the parties to eliminate black money.
He said that the government believed that every subject is discussed and that we are ready for any debate. He further said, in the winter session, positive discussions will hopefully take place and that when all parties work together in national interest, decisions can be taken quickly.
Recalling Parliament’s last session, he said that an important bill like the GST was passed which was a big step, and I had thanked all the parties at that time.
The month-long winter session of Parliament that is set to begin today is expected to be a stormy one, with the opposition parties determined to corner the centre on several issues, including demonetization.
