RAIPUR: Two personnel of the Special Task Force (STF), including an assistant platoon commander, were today injured when a pressure bomb, allegedly laid by Naxals, went off in Dantewada district in Chhattisgarh, police said.

The incident took place this evening near Gudse village under Katekalyan police station limits when the security forces were returning after an anti-Naxal operation, a local police official told PTI. "Assistant platoon commander (APC) Rakesh Singh and constable Mukesh Kunjam, belonging to the STF, sustained injuries in the explosion," he added.

Security forces had been out for the operation since the last two days. On their way back to the camp this evening, they reached near Gudse village, around three kms ahead of the police station, when the security personnel inadvertently stepped on the pressure bomb triggering a blast in which the duo was injured, he said.

"The injured personnel were immediately rushed to a local hospital, from where they were shifted to Dantewada town for further treatment," he added.
