Chinese delegation at Aero India

Sources says the move could be seen as one of the positive step towards improving the bilateral ties between the neighbouring countries.

BENGALURU: In a first, the Aero India show that begins in Bengaluru on Tuesday will witness participation from a delegation from China.

The official sources said that a five member team of People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) will be Yelahanka Air Force Station to participate in the 11th edition of Aero India show.

“The members of the delegation are Major Gen Wang Qiang, Senior Colonel Gao Zhikuan, Colonel Huang Xinyang, Lieutenant Colonel Jiang Jiaji and Major Li Yiu,” added the sources.

According to the defence sources, the move could be seen as one of the positive step towards improving the bilateral ties between the neighboring countries.

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) will showcase its combat aircraft, missiles, unmanned air vehicles, avionics, radars and surveillance devices during the Aero India which will be held from 14 to 18 February 2017.

A total of 72+ aircrafts will be the part of the air show. Air display teams from Sweden, UK, Czech Republic and the US will take part in the air show.
