Venkaiah to review Chhattisgarh projects today

In a bid to push the implementation of urban projects across the country, Union minister of urban development Venkaiah Naidu has started visiting states to review the progress.

NEW DELHI: In a bid to push the implementation of urban projects across the country, Union minister of urban development Venkaiah Naidu has started visiting states to review the progress.
He has reviewed the projects of 19 states in last few weeks. In the series of visiting states, the minister will be in Chhattisgarh on Friday to review the urban missions for its timely execution.

Officials said that Naidu along with Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh and other officials will participate in the discussions on implementation issues and progress of different missions.
Five Urban missions including Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT), Smart City Mission, Swachh Bharat Mission, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) and Deen Dayal Antyodaya Yojana-NULM in Chattisgarh will be reviewed in detail.

Ahead of Chhattisgarh review, Venkaiah Naidu on Thursday said that he was delighted over the useful reviews in 19 States as they proved to be beneficial for central and state governments. With a view to ensure timely implementation of projects Naidu has undertaken joint reviews with CMs in respective capitals.
