23-year-old techie shot dead at Noida apartment

A 23-year old techie killed by unknown persons in the basement of an apartment in Noida on Wednesday morning. Deceased has been identified as Anjali Rathore and was a trainee engineer. 

“In the morning at 6:34 am, the girl was shot in the head at Shatabdi Rail Vihar, which led to her death. So far no one has been arrested, several teams have been made to nab the accused,” a senior Noida police official said. The entire incident has been captured on a CCTV cameras installed at the basement of the society. Her body was sent for postmortem examination.

Anjali Rathore had graduated from Lovely Professional University in Jalandhar in 2016. In June last year, she got campus placement at a mobile and started working with the company as a trainee engineer, Noida cops said. 

Anjali’s promotion was due in June but before that she was murdered. According to the police, family has alleged that a friend of Anjali hailing from Etawah in Uttar Pradesh is behind her murder and he had also threatened her earlier. 

The friend was said to have studied with Rathore at the University. Cops have also recovered her WhatsApp conversation and other call details from Anjali’s mobile phone to investigate the case. 

Noida police has said that Anjali shared her flat with six other females. Her roommates informed police that she has been killed at the basement.
