RSS national executive at Sharda Vihar
The three-day national executive of the RSS starting at Sharda Vihar near Kerva Dam from October 12 is unlikely to cause road hold-ups or traffic hassles for commoners, as top BJP politicians, including BJP national president Amit Shah will not be attending the meet. With no other national BJP leader, excepting the national secretary (organization) Ramlal likely to meet the Sangh top brass at the meet, there will be no major VVIP visits over the three day period. On the contrary, the meet has led to construction of jaded roads and installation of new street lights on the 4 km route connecting Sakshi Dhaba with the Sharda Vihar on the city outskirts, ushering much needed basic infrastructure to residents there.

Secretariat to be as secure as White House
Along with the two annexes of the Vallabh Bhawan, the whole state secretariat is planned to be converted into a high security zone on the lines of White House. Apart from installing high-tech security instruments to check those entering the secretariat, three layered security boom barriers, pollard barrier and tyre killing systems will be installed to render doubtful vehicles useless. The civil work for both the annexes will be completed by December and they will be furnished by April 2018. A sum of D113 crore has been approved for the purpose.
