RAIPUR: BJP Mahila Morcha national president Vijaya Rahatkar on Wednesday disapproved of the troll army attack against the external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj but said her (Sushma Swaraj) work and accomplishments speak louder than any troll she has faced.

During her three-day visit to Chhattisgarh, Rahatkar stated such trolling cannot be justified. "Sushmaji is our senior leader and respected by all. All I would like to say that no one should be badly trolled on a social media", she said.

The external affairs minister faced offensive and vicious trolling over her ministry's clearance to the passport to an interfaith (Hindu-Muslim) couple. The couple allegedly was harassed by an official over renewal of passport.

She took a dig against the Congress president Rahul Gandhi questioning him for maintaining silence over the allegations of sexual harassment against the party's student wing NSUI president Fairoz Khan.

"Women are not safe in Congress. I condemn such sexual atrocities faced by the women cadres", she said.

To a query on whether the BJP will be offering one-third of the party tickets to the women in the state Assembly elections due later this year, the Mahila Morcha president said that it would be difficult to suggest any figure as of now but her efforts would be ensure women get the best representation.

"Our party organisation has offered one-third position to women. We will also see to it that a good number of women get chance to contest from the party", she affirmed.

Rahatkar ruled out there is high inflation and increase in the price of essential commodities as she claimed the NDA government kept pace with the economic growth.
