RAE BARELI: Amid posters referring Priyanka Gandhi Vadra as an ''emotional blackmailer'' in the city, her mother and Congress MP from Rae Bareli Sonia Gandhi will visit the city for a day on November 2.

Party sources here on Tuesday said that UPA chairperson Ms Gandhi would reach here on November 2 in the morning and attend the meeting of the District Vigilance and Monitoring committee to review the development works in her constituency.

The sources said that during her brief stay, Ms Gandhi will meet the party leaders and workers to assess the preparation for the coming Lok Sabha polls.

"Ms Gandhi is also expected to visit residences of some of the deceased, who were killed in accidents in the constituency," a Congress leader said.

There is also a speculation that Ms Gandhi could skip the elections this time, and in her place, Ms Vadra, could jump into the fray.

Meanwhile, in Rae Bareli, several posters cropped up showing Ms Vadra as "missing", alleging that while many tragedies struck the constituency since her last visit, she did not bother to reach out to the people in the Congress borough where she is seen as her mother's heir.

In a reference to her last-minute visits to Rae Bareli during successive polls and trying to pitch in for her mother by striking the emotional chord of the relationship of the Gandhis with the area, the posters labelled her as an "emotional blackmailer".
