GUWAHATI: Assam government today hiked the salary of master roll employees from existing Rs 6,000 to Rs 18,000 under the regular pay scale band.
Announcing this here, Senior Cabinet Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that 12,860 employees in the fifty two government fifty-two will be benefited by this move.
The cabinet has approved the decision. The hike in salary of master roll employees will be effective from November 1 and will cost state exchequer Rs 176.89 lakh annually.
Mr Sarma informed that in near future all those employees will also be given accident cover claim and death benefits.
