New Delhi, Dec 7 (PTI) A promoter of textile firmHimatsingka Seide today sold 1.17 per cent stake in thecompany for over Rs 38 crore through an open markettransaction.

According to bulk deal data of the BSE, Leela DeviHimatsingka, a promoter of Himatsingka Seide, disposed of11,55,350 shares, amounting to 1.17 per cent stake, in thetextile firm.

The shares were offloaded at an average price of Rs 332per share, valuing the transaction at Rs 38.36 crore, the datashowed.

As of the September quarter, Leela Devi Himatsingka held23,22,786 shares of the firm, representing 2.36 per cent stakein the company.

Merrill Lynch India Equities Fund (Mauritius) bought13,76,602 shares of the company for Rs 45.70 crore.

The stock ended the day on the BSE at Rs 332.85, up 1.03per cent from the previous close. PTI VRNARD.
