rainsSrinagar, Dec 7 (PTI) The Jammu and Kashmir Police hasestablished helplines in various districts of the valley andthe Ladakh region for people to seek help during an emergencyarising due to snowfall and rains forecast next week.
The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rainsand snowfall in the valley from December 11 to 15.
"In view of the weather and avalanche warnings, the Jammuand Kashmir Police has established helpline numbers at everydistrict as well as in the Police Control Room Kashmir," apolice spokesman said.
He said people have been requested to contact theirrespective district helplines set up by the police in case onany emergency and exigency.
Inspector General of Police Munir Ahmad Khan has directedall the concerned district police chiefs to remain vigilant.
Khan said these helplines have been established in everydistrict and will remain functional round the clock. PTI MIJKJ.
