Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 7 (PTI) The Kerala StateYouth Commission today registered a case against those who hadmade abusive remarks on social media against three Muslimwomen students for dancing in a flash mob at Malappuramrecently to mark World Aids day.

The commission directed the cyber police cell toinvestigate and take action against those indulging in "suchobscene campaigns on social media and otherwise. " Commission chairperson Chinta Jerome said in astatement that case should be registered under relevantsections, "including for insulting womanhood."    The Kerala Women's Commission had yesterdayregistered a case against those who had made abusive remarksagainst the three women, students of a dental college.

The students were trolled for allegedly insultingIslam by publicly dancing at an AIDS awareness campaign at atraffic junction in Malappuram on December 1.

The women, wearing hijabs and jeans, had performed the'Entammede Jimmikki Kammal' a popular number from a Mohanlalfilm.

The video of the flash mob at the busy trafficjunction had invited the wrath of a section of the muslimcommunity and the students were trolled for allegedly causing"disgrace" to Islam. PTI UDBN.
