ruling partyWarsaw, Dec 8 (AFP) Poland's governing rightwing partytoday tapped its Finance Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, an ex-banker, to replace Prime Minister Beata Szydlo who hastendered her resignation.
"The Law and Justice (PiS) party political committee hasproposed the candidature of of Mateusz Morawiecki for primeminister," governing party spokeswoman Beata Mazurek toldreporters in Warsaw.
Mazurek added that current Prime Minister Beata Szydlohad tendered her resignation to the PiS political committee.
