Los Angeles, Dec 8 (PTI) Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino'sproposed "Star Trek" movie is reportedly intended to be ratedR.
According to Deadline, if reports turn out to be true,the project would mark a first 'R-rated' movie for theParamount Pictures franchise and a rarity in the realm ofbig-budget tentpole movies.
The report also says screenwriters Mark L Smith, LindseyBeer, and Drew Pearce are in the running to pen the script,with Smith as the apparent frontrunner. The plan is forTarantino to direct.
There have been 13 "Star Trek" movies thus far, beginningwith 1979's "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" and most recentlyincluding a rebooted trilogy overseen by J J Abrams. PTI SHDSHD.
