Madhepura, Dec 12 (PTI) A deputy village head waskilled by miscreants near Navtol bazaar in Bihar's Madhepuradistrict, police said today.
Murliganj police station, Station House Officer (SHO)B D Pandit said the deceased has been identified as Sanjay Das(39), the up mukhiya (deputy village head) of Parwa Navtolpanchayat of the district.
Das was on way to his house along with two otherpersons on a motorcycle yesterday night when the miscreantsattacked him. The other two persons ran away from the spot,police said.
The miscreants attacked Das with sharp weapons andslit his throat killing him on the spot, the SHO said. PTICORR ARRG.
