Summary of observations recorded at 0830 hrs:Summary of observations recorded at 0830 hrs:The western disturbance as an upper air cycloniccirculation over Afghanistan and adjoining Pakistan persistsand extends upto 5.8 kms a s l with a trough aloft with itsaxis at 9.5 kms a s l now runs roughly along Long. 66.0° E tothe north of Lat. 18.0° N. The induced cyclonic circulationover north Punjab and neighbourhood now lies over westRajasthan and neighbourhood at 1.5 kms a s l. Above twosystems are likely to move east-northeastwards. A trough ineasterlies runs from north Madhya Maharashtra to southRajasthan across Gujarat Region at 0.9 km a. s. l. A cycloniccirculation extending upto 0.9 km a. s. l. lies over westAssam and neighbourhood. The cyclonic circulation extendingupto 0.9 km a. s. l. over Sri-Lanka and neighbourhood now liesover Comorin area and neighbourhood. The cyclonic circulationover east Assam and neighbourhood has become lessmarked.

Night temperatures were appreciably to markedly belownormal in some parts of Saurashtra and Kutch;appreciably below normal in some parts of Jammu and Kashmirand of east Rajasthan and were below normal in someparts of Gujarat Region and of Konkan and Goa. They weremarkedly above normal in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya,Nagaland-Manipur-Mizoram-Tripura and of Madhya Pradesh;appreciably to markedly above normal in some parts ofWest Bengal and Sikkim, Odisha, Marathwada and of Vidarbha;appreciably above normal in some parts of ArunachalPradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand,Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh,Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh and of Tamil Naduand in remaining parts of Assam and Meghalaya,Odisha, east Rajasthan and of Madhya Pradesh and were abovenormal in some parts of west Uttar Pradesh, TamilNadu, south interior Karnataka and of Kerala and in remainingparts of West Bengal and Sikkim and of Vidarbha. Theywere normal over the rest of the country. The lowest minimumtemperature recorded was 4.5°C at Sikar (east Rajasthan).

Dense to very dense fog (visibility = 200m) occurredat isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya, Manipur, Odisha,West Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu andKashmir, Madhya Pradesh and south Madhya Maharashtra; shallowto moderate fog (visibility = 500m) over Assam and Meghalaya,west Uttar Pradesh, West Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
