Karimnagar (Tel), Nov 14 (PTI) The police today seizeda cache of explosives during a search at a village here andarrested one person in this connection, an official said.
They also seized 12 motorcycles kept without properdocuments in two houses and arrested two persons, he said.
The explosives were apparently being supplied togranite mines without having any permit for it, he said.
A team of police personnel conducted a cordon andsearch at Durshed village in the district around 6 am andfound nearly 125 detonators and 270 explosive sticks storedillegally in a house, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police(law and order) P Sanjeev Kumar said.
Following the seizure of the explosives, the houseowner was arrested, he said.
The police suspect that the house owner was supplyingthe explosives to granite mines without having any licence todo so, the official said.
Besides the explosives, the police seized 12motorcycles without valid documents from two other houses inthe village and arrested two men in this connection, Kumarsaid.
The three arrested persons were booked under relevantIPC sections, he added. PTI CORGK.
