Los Angeles, Nov 14 (PTI) Veteran actor ChristopherPlummer, who replaced embattled actor Kevin Spacey in RidleyScott's "All The Money In The World", said he feels sad forthe "talented and terrifically gifted actor".

Scott had dropped Spacey from his upcoming film "All TheMoney In The World" in wake of multiple allegations of sexualmisconduct and harassment against him.

"I think it's very sad what happened to him. Kevin issuch a talented and a terrifically gifted actor, and it's sosad. It's such a shame," Plummer told Vanity Fair.

The "Remember" actor said he is not really replacingSpacey in the film but instead "starting all over again".

"I'm very saddened by what happened to Kevin, but whatcan I do? I've got a role. I admire Ridley Scott and I'mthrilled to be making a movie for him.

"And so I thought, that was it. Ages ago I was incontention for (the role), way back. So I was familiar withit, and then Ridley came to me and I agreed. I wanted to workwith him. He's very good. I loved the script. The script iswonderful," said Plummer.

"All The Money In The World" also stars Mark Wahlberg andMichelle Williams in key roles and the duo are believed toreturn for reshoots.

Plummer, will portray J Paul Getty in the story about theinfamous 1973 kidnapping of his grandson, 16-year-old JohnPaul Getty III. PTI RBRB.
