Summary of observations recorded at 0830 hrs: Summary of observations recorded at 0830 hrs: The well marked low pressure area over southwest Bayof Bengal and neighbourhood now lies over westcentral andadjoining southwest Bay of Bengal. Associated cycloniccirculation extends upto 7.6 kms a. s. l. The westerndisturbance as an upper air cyclonic circulation over westernparts of Afganistan and neighbourhood now lies over overeastern parts of Afganistan and neighbourhood and extends upto7.6 kms a. s. l.

The trough in westerlies with its axis at 5.8 kms a.

s. l. now runs roughly along Long. 67° E to the north of Lat.

23° N. The induced cyclonic circulation extending upto 1.5 kmsa. s. l. over central Pakistan and adjoining west Rajasthanpersists. Above two systems are likely to moveeast-northeastwards. The cyclonic circulation over Gulf ofSiam and neighbourhood has become less marked. The cycloniccirculation over coastal Karnataka and neighbourhood has alsobecome less marked.

Night temperatures were appreciably to markedly belownormal in some parts of Konkan and Goa and of interiorKarnataka; appreciably below normal in some parts of westMadhya Pradesh, Gujarat state, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbhaand of coastal Karnataka and were below normal in some partsof Assam and Meghalaya, east Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan,east Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, Chhattisgarh, Telangana andof Tamil Nadu.

They were appreciably above normal in some parts ofOdisha, Punjab, west Rajasthan and of coastal Andhra Pradeshand were above normal in some parts of West Bengal and Sikkim,Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi and of Rayalaseema and inremaining parts of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and of TamilNadu. The lowest minimum temperature recorded was 8.8°C atAdilabad (Telangana).

Shallow to moderate fog at isolated places overMeghalaya, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and northwestRajasthan in the morning hours.

The northeast monsoon has been subdued overRayalaseema, Karnataka State and Kerala. PTI BASBAS.
