Mumbai, Nov 22 (PTI) Global travel market placeEzeego1.com has expanded its presence by opening of a newfranchise in the city here.

"Distribution is the key to success in the growingtravel market and the opening of our new franchise will helpus gain a foothold in this market," Ezeego1 CEO and DirectorNeelu Singh said in a release issued here.

************HDFC ERGO launches Inherent Defects Policy*Private non-life insurance provider HDFC ERGO todayannounced the launch of the 'Inherent Defects Policy', thatprovides cover to new buildings or civil structures againstany damage caused by inherent structural defects.

Inherent Defects Insurance Policy offers protectionagainst structural defects like cost of repairing, restoringor strengthening of the insured building, the company said ina release issued here.

This product also addresses one of the requirements ofthe recently enacted Real Estate (Regulation and Development)Act 2016 (RERA).

"It was launched to address the needs of real estatebuilders and provide them with a comprehensive cover againstany damages during the construction of the building. This willnot only help developers but also help housing societies ifany damage is caused by inherent structural defects," HDFCERGO General Executive Director Mukesh Kumar said.

************Franklin Templeton appoints Naganath Sundaresan president, CIOof alternatives biz*Franklin Templeton Investments today appointedNaganath Sundaresan as the President and CIO of itsalternatives business in India.

Naganath will join the firm on November 23, and willbe based at Mumbai, a release issued here said.

He will be responsible for introducing and growing thefirm's efforts in the alternatives space in the country andwill report to Mat Gulley, Executive Vice President and Headof Alternatives at Franklin Templeton Investments.

Prior to this, Naganath was working with DSP BlackrockInvestment Managers (DSPBR) as President and CIO.
