Jammu, Oct 12 (PTI) The BJP will organise its first stateexecutive meet in Kashmir later this month in which more than300 party workers will participate and review the functioningof the coalition government, a party official said today.
During the meeting on October 28 and 29, the party willalso discuss the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir,which it governs with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
BJP's Jammu and Kashmir in-charge Avinash Rai Khanna andnational-general secretary Ram Madhav will participate in themeet, Narinder Singh, its state general secretary, told PTI.
"It would the first such meeting of the party inKashmir," he said.
Singh said the functioning of the BJP state unit and itsministers in the Jammu and Kashmir government would bereviewed. The meeting will also review the security situationand programmes of the party and the government, he said.
Thirteen committees have been formed for the smoothconduct of the meet. "These committees were given differenttasks to ensure a hassle-free conduct of the meet," he said.
"On October 28, there will be state office-bearers meet,which would be followed by state executive meet on 29," hesaid. PTI ABABH.
