Mumbai, Oct 13 (PTI) Leading provider of industrialproductivity solutions Atlas Copco is seeking to set up a headoffice in Maharashtra, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis saidin Sweden today.
Fadnavis, who is on a three day visit to Sweden, metthe President and CEO Atlas Copco, Mats Rahmstrom and thecompany's MD Giovanni Valent on the last day of his visit.
"The Atlas Copco Group briefed the Chief Minister ontheir CSR project for villagers to understand water dynamicsand availability. The company also expressed that they want toexpand in Maharashtra and the CM assured them all the helpneeded from the state government," a statement issued by theChief Minister's office said.
As the company decides to set up its head office inMaharashtra, Fadnavis has suggested Aurangabad as the placefor the new setup and also requested for setting up of a skillcentre so that good employment opportunities are provided inthe region.
The statement added that the Chief Minister and stateIndustry Minister Subhash Desai also met Soniya Netalkar, MDof Devicity, and that they wish to set up a logistic park inWardha district of Vidarbha region. PTI MMNSK.
