Crude oil futures up on positive global cues
New Delhi, Oct 13 (PTI) Crude oil rose by Rs 13 to Rs3,309 per barrel in futures market today as speculatorsindulged in creating speculative positions, taking positivecues from Asian markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for deliveryin October was trading higher by Rs 13, or 0.39 per cent, toRs 3,309 per barrel, in a business turnover of 2,722 lots.
The oil for delivery in November too rose by a similarmargin to quote at Rs 3,340 per barrel in 153 lots.
Analysts said speculative positions created by traders asoil prices edged up in Asia today, mainly influenced crudeprices at futures trade here.
Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate gained 30 cents, or0.59 per cent, to USD 50.90 while global benchmark Brent wasup 29 cents, or 0.52 per cent cent to USD 56.54 a barrel. PTISUN KPS ADIMKJ.
