Kolkata, Oct 13 (PTI) Odissi danseuse and cricket iconSourav Ganguly's wife Dona Ganguly is collaborating withwell-known tabla artiste Pt Prodyot Mukherjee for a fusionalbum.
The music of the album has been composed by 'PadmaBhushan' awardee Pt Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, who had shared theprestigious GIMA 2016 (Global Indian Music Academy) Award .
Mukherjee said, "the album, which has just beencompleted, is our attempt to make Indian music popular amongthe masses - both in India and the West through fusion.
"Dona and me have drawn a synergy between musical notesand rhythms of dance and Dona has said that this is a new formof experiment for her. We are very happy with the finaloutcome." He said Sourav Ganguly has extended his best wishes forthe project. PTI SUS PRPR.
