Tehatta (WB), Oct 13 (PTI) An amount of 88,200 USD wasrecovered from a bus by BSF jawans in an area under Chaprapolice station in Nadia district, an official said today.
Acting on a tip off, the bus from Krishnanagar wasintercepted by BSF jawans and recovered the money worth Rsabout Rs 57 lakh from an unclaimed bag yesterday.
The notes were in the denomination of 100 USD.
The seized notes were handed over to the CustomsSuperintendent, Tehatta, Sekhar Kumar Das.
Seven persons were detained for interrogation, he said.
