(Eds: Correction in para 2)Jaipur, Oct 13 (PTI) Union Minister Rajyavardhan SinghRathore said he wants to hold the next National Youth Festivalin here, if the state government accepts the proposal.
The Union Youth Affairs and Sports minister also said hehas proposed to convert the shooting range for sportspersonsin Jaipur to a centre of excellence.
"We have sent a proposal to the state government nearly afortnight ago to provide 50 per cent fund for organising theNational Youth Festival," Rathore told reporters here.
He said more than 5,000 youths from different parts ofthe country will take part in the festival.
"We are waiting for the Rajasthan government's response.
The 10-day festival will be organised in January next year,"Rathore said.
About setting up the shooting range, he said a proposalin this regard has been sent to the Rajasthan Sports Council.
