Vasco Sports Club, Goa, downed South United Football Club, Bangalore, 1-0 to record their first victory in group C of the 2nd division I-League football match at the Bangalore Football Stadium on Wednesday.

Striker Baba Tunde slammed home the only goal of the match in the 78th minute as the Goans picked up their first set of full points having played out a draw against Southern Samity, Kolkata, in their opening game. This was the second straight defeat for the newly-formed City outfit and they are yet to open their account.

In fact, Baba Tunde should have scored earlier too but his header and another right-footer missed the mark narrowly.

SUFC had their fair share of chances but Stephen and Vinoth muffed sitters to bring to nought all the stout hearted work their defenders did.

KGF Academy, Bangalore, defeated George Telegraph, Kolkata 3-1 in the 2nd division I-League clash in Bhopal. Inola Divid, Rajesh and Inola Ifieymi scored their goals while Michael reduced the margin.
