Saina Regains Top Spot

HYDERABAD: Star Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal on Thursday regained the No 1 spot in the latest BWF world rankings.

Saina, who secured the numero uno spot for the first time early last month, slipped from the coveted position subsequently.

The Olympic bronze medallist, however, has climbed to No 1 once again ahead of the Australian Open, starting on May 26.

Defending champion in the Australian Open Super Series, Saina would be taking on a qualifier in her campaign opener.

Meanwhile, PV Sindhu lost a position to be in 12th place.

In men's singles, K Srikanth has retained his fourth place. Even P Kashyap and HS Prannoy also maintained their 13th and 15th positions, respectively.
